In thinking over the format for our postings, we are going to roll everything into this LCTC Blog spot and use it for posting finds and thoughts going forward. We feel like we should be able to post updates once a week for sure, but that may be ambitious, as all of us here at Little City Toy Cars have day jobs, so we have to find time when we can!
Thoughts for October...
We had a big glut of mainline cars at most Walmarts in the dump bins leftover from September, so there was not a huge influx of Hot Wheels there. Matchbox, since the case packs are smaller, seemed to turn over well, but refill way slower than Hot Wheels at both Target and Walmart. Also, Matchbox assortments are a couple behind right now where we are located. Johnny Lightning at Target and Walmart have been pretty disappointing to all of us here at LCTC, so there has not been a lot of purchases (maybe one or two amongst the group). The Castline/M2 has been steady at Walmart in boxes and in blister packs at Target, but we have not purchased a ton of those either, maybe 3 in October. We'll show some of them below. The ToysRUs stores in our area are picked clean always, so none of use are even going by all that much. Just once in awhile, honestly.
There was a lot of talk about finding the limited video game Forza mainline cars at Walgreens, but we only saw a couple of those, but they do seem to still be trickling in. We shall see if any are floating around into November.
Probably the most excitement at stores has been the higher end Hot Wheels. We have been able to score during the day several cool castings from the Car Culture Trucks assortment, the Car Culture Japanese Historics Assortment, The Grand Turismo Assortment (all five cars were easily grabbed), and the Car Culture Euro Style Assortment (missed the Volkswagen though!). Pictures are below.
The new ToysRUs Forza set of five cars hit online, but we decided to pass as the only car we could all agree we wanted was the new Alfa Romeo Guilia, with little interest in the rest.
Lastly, eBay has been a mixed bag of good pickups. Our eBay buyer, Cliff, is only targeting value buys, so these tend to be hit and miss. Our eBay pick ups are below. As always, ask for more pictures in the comments if you'd like some!

Mainline Hot Wheels and Matchbox pickups
So, you can see we managed to find our third Treasure Hunt of the year, the Batmobile! Exciting to find it in the wild for sure. It's quite nice, with the wheels really looking sharp.
Another car we had been on the lookout for is the Matchbox Nissan Skyline The mirrors on the front fenders are not too bad, but we wish they were a little more defined. The Chevy 1500 Pickup in Forest Service deco is another we were after. We have bought four of those and will probably get some more if they keep showing up.

Hot Wheels Premium
The big find here was the 2009 Nissan GT-R in the Gran Turismo set. So far we have seen five of them and bought three, leaving some for others. A fantastic car! The Ford Gt is super nice as well and will probably be a DLM candidate.
Ebay wins
After about 10 months of trawling eBay, we finally got a Cove Light for a good price. We are very excited to get it! We also picked up some packaged Acceleracers that we will feature in another blog post soon.
The gold AMX did not photograph well, but it is quite nice. The olive Light My Firebird was an eBay steal, under $20 shipped. The green TNT Bird was a big upgrade car from the one we had, and finally, the Swingin' Wing was a $7 pickup of a somewhat HTF hong kong red version.
