Majorette started in making cars 1964 in the Lyon, France area for the European market. The oldest cars from 1964 to 1970 are the 100 Series, with the 200 Series replacing them at that point. All are relatively close to 1:64 scale, with many having the scale printed on the base plate. In the mid seventies they produced two packs as the 300 Series, which grew to include longer busses and tractor/trailer representations called the 600 Series. For more information, the Wikipedia entry for Majorette collates some nice information from a couple diecast history books and is worth checking out...
Our collection is currently 200 series cars from around 1970 through the mid 80's and only models made in France, a good cut off point. They are arranged in order as best we can, the Series number and name appear as you hover over the image. We are now going to cycle the model numbers one at a time starting with #201. Right now we do not own one of each number, but we will update as they arrive. Our primary collecting focus within the series are the cars with the 3 spoke wheels and the even older cars (very expensive and primarily only sold in Europe).
So, to recap: This will be cars from the 200 Series, made in France only, from 1964 through about 1990. We really enjoy the true-to-life representations, especially since a bunch of the models are European manufacturers which were and are not made much by Hot Wheels or Matchbox. We are actively pursuing more of these little gems, so check back on the new arrivals wall often...
If we start collecting some of the other size cars, we will add a separate page for those.
I am in the process of changing the format to sequence the car number in order from 200 on. Currently the cars are in storage, so we have to pull them out to make sure we put the proper number/car combo together. It's a process!

200 Series
We will start off with three spoke wheel versions. While we have some earlier cars, these are the ones we like the most. Again, no experts here, so we are not sure when they started producing that style wheel, but we do know that it ran through the mid 80's and really did not make it into the 90's.
Bear with us as we experiment with formatting, we are trying to get it so it's very easy to keep the cars in numerical order as we add to the Hoard.

After the three spoke rims, there are several styles that were produced over the next few years, including some off road tires with four spokes, six spokes, eight dot, and wide silver ring rims. There are A LOT of transition cars, where the casting was available with different rims, and also there are typically MANY paint schemes for each casting.
